5 Awesome Ways to Celebrate Father’s Day

Father’s Day is just around the corner. None of us imagined that Father’s Day would look a lot different this year with social distancing being the buzz word.

We decided that regardless of the circumstances, Father’s Day can still be meaningful and fun. Here are a few quarantine/social distancing ideas that we came up with. However you decide to celebrate your dad, we know that it will be a special time!

Make a Gourmet Dinner Together

Each person picks which course of the dinner they’re responsible for making or everyone can chip in to make the whole meal. The rules are simple–choose recipes that you normally wouldn’t choose. Set the table nicely and go all out in dressing up to make it more fun.

Tackle a Home Project

Help dad with a home project that he’s not gotten around to yet. Life gets busy and we know that if you asked him which project he needs help with that he would list twenty. This will give you quality time together and lend him a hand.

Virtual Fitness Standoff

If you don’t live in the same area as your dad then spend some time together virtually. Convince your mom and siblings to get on Zoom with dad for a virtual fitness challenge. A little friendly competition will have everyone laughing.

Camp Indoors

Grab the tent out of the garage and set it up in the living room for a Father’s Day campout. Make s’mores and popcorn in the kitchen and then snuggle in for campfire stories or a walk down memory lane.

Have a Water Balloon Challenge

The challenge? To not get hit by a water balloon. This is great fun for all ages and can be done in the safety of a backyard. For extra fun, add some non-toxic washable paint to some of the balloons as a surprise.
